Achim Welter

Achim Welter is a seasoned IT professional with extensive experience in ERP and digital strategy, currently serving as Senior Director of ERP, Digital and IT Strategy at The Hershey Company since 2014. Previously, Achim held senior managerial roles at Accenture, advising CIOs on IT strategy and governance, and led product management at Fiserv CareGain, where a SaaS concept for healthcare software was developed. Achim also owns a consulting firm that implemented an IT sourcing strategy, leading to a significant cost reduction, and held vice president positions at both Bookspan, LLC, and Bertelsmann, where major IT integrations and digital initiatives were executed. Achim's career began as a First Lieutenant with the German Armed Forces, following a strong academic background with an MBA from The Wharton School and a Master’s in Computer Science from Bundeswehr University Munich.
