Whitney S. Mayer

Whitney S. Mayer has extensive experience in sustainability, social impact, and human rights across various organizations. Currently serving as the Director of Global Sustainability & ESG at The Hershey Company since April 2015, Whitney leads enterprise sustainability strategy, oversees human rights initiatives, and collaborates with executives and the Board of Directors. Previous roles at Hershey include Senior Manager of ESG & Human Rights and Manager of Global Sustainability and Social Impact, where Whitney developed critical policies and programs. Prior to Hershey, Whitney worked as a Senior Director at Arabella Advisors, a Program Manager at The Global Fairness Initiative, and a Fellow at Fontheim International, accumulating a wealth of expertise in strategic development and evaluation within philanthropic and corporate sectors. Educational credentials include an MS in Foreign Service from Georgetown University and a BS in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University.
