Dr. Alison Elizabeth Lloyd is the Associate Provost (Institutional Data and Research) at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, appointed with effect from May 15th, 2023. With over 20 years of experience in higher education and management consulting, Dr. Lloyd has an established track record in data analytics and institutional research expertise.

Dr. Lloyd previously served as the Associate Vice President (Institutional Research and Strategic Planning) at Hong Kong Baptist University, spearheading evidence-based decision-making using analytics and business intelligence to support key activities. Prior to that, she spent 14 years at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, where she held dual director roles overseeing international affairs and institutional research.

Before entering academia, Dr. Lloyd worked in management consultancy, where she gained experience in strategy, business process re-engineering, performance management frameworks, and change management for both private and public sector organizations in the Asia Pacific region. Dr. Lloyd also serves as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Giordano International Limited (0709: HK), and Board Director of a social enterprise advocating multicultural education.

Dr. Lloyd's diverse background and expertise make her a valuable addition to the HKUST community. With her extensive experience in higher education and data analytics, she is well-equipped to lead the university's institutional research efforts and support evidence-based decision-making.
