Betty Lin's work experience includes various roles in different companies. Betty currently serves on the board of directors for Set Sail Software - Chatbot.com.hk and BaronsAI. Previously, they held positions as the Associate Director of the Dual-Degree Program and Associate Professor of Business Education at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Betty also worked as the Regional Manager for Hong Kong and Taiwan at Akamai Technologies, where they played a pivotal role in establishing new offices and teams. Prior to that, they held leadership positions at Sun Microsystems / StorageTek, Hyperion Solutions / Brio Software, Alliente Inc, IBM, HP, and Agilent Technologies, where they contributed to product development and held managerial roles.

Betty Lin earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley. Betty later completed an Executive MBA program at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, focusing on International Business. Most recently, Betty attended SBS Swiss Business School, where they obtained a Master of Business Research degree followed by a Doctorate of Business Research degree.
