Esra Turk

Esra Turk is an experienced professional in journalism and compliance, currently serving as the International Content and Compliance Executive at The Independent since May 2019, having previously held the title of International Content Executive. Prior roles include Assistant Turkish Editor at Telgraf Newspaper and a data journalism work experience stint at Guardian News & Media. Esra began a career in journalism as a reporter for Archant's Tottenham & Hornsey Journals and gained further experience with the Hackney Gazette and Hackney Museum. Additionally, Esra held positions at the Kurdish Human Rights Project, including Operations Manager and Research Intern. Academic qualifications include an MA in Journalism from Kingston University and a BA in History with Human Rights from the University of Essex.
