Hattie Brewis

Hattie Brewis is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in both print and digital media. Currently serving as a Senior Reporter for Indy100 at The Independent since March 2021, Hattie previously held the position of News Reporter at the Evening Standard from March 2019 to March 2021. Hattie's early career includes freelance work as a Theatre Critic and Reporter for News Associates and various roles at Tindle Newspapers Ltd. Hattie completed a 22-week NCTJ fast-track Multimedia Journalism Diploma, achieving a gold standard and proficiency in shorthand. Prior to pursuing journalism, Hattie held roles in project management and executive assistance, as well as teaching modern languages at St Marylebone School, while completing the Teach First Leadership Development Programme. Hattie's educational background includes a BA in Modern Languages from UCL.
