Jacob Taylor has built a robust career in education and training, currently serving as the GO TEC Technical and Training Manager at The Institute for Advanced Learning and Research since July 2019, after previously holding the role of GO TEC Training Coordinator. Prior to this, Jacob Taylor worked at Pittsylvania County Schools from August 2014 to July 2019 as a STEM Academy Instructor, and from August 2009 to August 2014 as a Physics and Mathematics Teacher. Jacob Taylor earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Bridgewater College between 2004 and 2008.

Core focus areas include research that provides a clear path to commercialization, advanced learning opportunities where education meets experience, and economic development through conferencing and a partnership with the Southern Virginia Regional Alliance. It is located in scenic and historic Pittsylvania County on the VA/NC state line, within a short drive of Roanoke, Greensboro and Raleigh.
