Alex Hinand has a diverse background in operations and management roles within the arts and cultural sector. They began their career as an Orchestra Personnel Management Apprentice at Spoleto Festival USA in 2017 and later served as an Orchestra Manager at the Aspen Music Festival and School and Florida State University. In 2018, they held the position of Interim Director of Operations at the Chicago Youth Symphony Orchestras. Alex also gained experience as an Audience Services Representative at the Lyric Opera of Chicago. From 2019 to 2021, they worked as an Ensemble Operations Coordinator at Roosevelt University and as an Operations Manager at the Jewish Council on Urban Affairs. Most recently, Alex served as the Manager of Tour Operations at the Chicago Architecture Center before moving on to their current role as the Director of Development Operations at The Joffrey Ballet.
Alex Hinand pursued higher education in the field of music. From 2012 to 2016, they attended Florida State University and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music. Following this, they continued their education at the same university and obtained a Master's Degree in Arts Administration - Music from 2016 to 2018. Additionally, Alex has acquired certifications such as Duolingo Italian Fluency (Intermediate level) in December 2016.
