Steve Butterfield

Steve Butterfield currently serves as the Senior Director of State Public Policy at The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society since February 2018, where responsibilities include strategic leadership for state policy work and managing stakeholder relationships. Previous roles at LLS include Director of State Public Policy and Regional Director of Government Affairs for the Northeast & Mid-Atlantic regions. Prior to LLS, Steve Butterfield was the Policy Director at Consumers for Affordable Health Care, where significant accomplishments included the passage of legislation to end surprise billing. Steve Butterfield also has experience as a field representative and campaign director in various capacities with labor organizations and political parties, along with teaching experience. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Global Public Policy from Mondus MAPP and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Maine.
