Sophie O'Connor

Sophie O'Connor serves as Chief of Staff and General Counsel for Technology, Procurement, Privacy & Data at The Lottery Corporation since June 2022. O'Connor is also a member of the Board of Directors for the 50-50 Foundation. Previous roles include General Counsel for Corporate Services at Tabcorp from November 2020 to January 2024 and various positions at Virgin Australia between May 2011 and November 2020, culminating in roles as Head of Group Privacy, Senior Legal Counsel, and General Manager, Legal. O'Connor has experience as a Senior Associate at Allens from January 2009 to April 2011 and held executive-level positions within the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Communications in 2004 and 2005. O'Connor began a legal career as a Solicitor at Allens from May 2000 to December 2003. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours) and a Bachelor of Business (with Distinction) from Queensland University of Technology, along with a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from The College of Law Australia, which is ongoing.
