Our mission is to lead the continued development and promotion of mediation and alternative dispute services in Ireland. We are committed to raising standards through the continual development of best practice for the best professional Mediators in Northern and the Republic of Ireland. MII members are certified practicing professional mediators.  We are proud to have been award Triple Lock status by the Charities Institute of Ireland for best practise and transparency in governance.

Member Benefits

As the largest mediation members organization in Ireland MII accreditation is recognized as the standard for mediation in Ireland.  Membership with MII is also internationally recognized. Members benefit from strong referral opportunities through profile display on our website. Members use MIIs certified badge on letter head and on their  own practitioner website to assure clients of their bona fides. 
Sharing and Learning Groups. Members attend regular MII Sharing and Learning  support groups that focus on Reflective Practice, Role Play and Training. Members also benefit from guest speakers, funding opportunities and ethics. 

The MII office is always available to support our members in their Mediation journey.

MII is a strong voice advocating mediation as the preferred mechanism to resolve disputes. The Institute uses media platforms to highlight benefits to members & beneficiaries. MII Sector champions represent the interests of members in those diverse groups. The MII support our members by advocating for world class mediation standards.
