The Met is a stunning, award winning live music venue noted nationally for its specialist folk music programme. 

Formed in 1975, Bury Metropolitan Arts Association took over the historic Derby Hall in Bury in 1979, and the venue now known as The Met was born. The Grade II listed building underwent a multi-million-pound refurbishment in 2016, and now incorporates two modernised performance spaces, popular dining restaurant Automatic, a variety of events & meetings space, and the Edwin Street Creative Hub which includes Edwin Street Recording Studio and an amazing rehearsal space. 

The Met is also the proud organiser and promoter of Head for the Hills festival welcoming around 12,000 music lovers to Ramsbottom every year.
