Andre Artis MD, MBA, FACC, FASCI, FAHA has a diverse work experience spanning several prestigious institutions. Andre currently serves as the Medical Director of the Heart and Vascular Institute at Methodist Hospitals since 2014. Prior to this, they were a Clinical Assistant Professor at Indiana University School of Medicine from 1992. Additionally, Dr. Artis served as the President/CEO of The Heart Center of Lake County for 22 years (1992-2014). Andre began their career as an Assistant Professor at the University of Missouri-Columbia, where they worked from 1988 to 1989.
Dr. Andre Artis has an extensive education history. Andre earned their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Meharry Medical College in 1980. Following this, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from Keller Graduate School of Management of DeVry University between 1997 and 2000. Dr. Artis also completed an Interventional Cardiology Residency Program at the University of Missouri-Columbia from 1986 to 1988. Additionally, they hold an MD MBA degree in Cardiology from Meharry Medical College.
