Robert Tackett has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Robert started their career as a Paramedic in the U.S. Army and Army National Guard, serving as a Combat Paramedic from 1995 to 2001. From there, they worked as an Emergency Department Paramedic at Kaiser Permanente from 1997 to 1999.

Tackett then transitioned into the healthcare technology field, joining St. Vincent Charity Medical Center as a Paramedic PRN in 1997. In 1999, they moved to the Cleveland Clinic, where they served as a Monitor Technician and Paramedic in the Post-Cardiac Care Unit, overseeing daily operations and providing emergency paramedic services.

In 2001, Tackett joined Philips as a Field Service Engineer and Account Manager. In this role, they installed, repaired, and supported patient monitoring equipment, while also mentoring sales staff and managing client relationships. From 2006 to 2012, they worked at MetroHealth Medical Center as a Clinical Engineer, specializing in networking and computer operations. Their responsibilities included overseeing data management system installations and reducing networking expenses.

Tackett returned to MetroHealth System in 2012, taking on various roles including Interim Co-Director of Clinical Engineering and Director of Clinical Engineering & Logistics. In these positions, they managed the performance of the Clinical Engineering department, directed clinical engineering projects, and planned patient monitoring system upgrades.

Throughout their career, Tackett has demonstrated strong leadership, project management, and technical skills.

Robert Tackett earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Business Administration from Mount Vernon Nazarene University from 2000 to 2002. Robert then completed a Certificate in Advanced Skills in Project Management from Kent State University in 2014. Currently, they are pursuing a Master of Population Health Leadership & Management degree in Public Health, Leadership and Management - Healthcare Administration at Baldwin Wallace University from 2019 to 2023. Additionally, they studied Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies, and Humanities at Ohio University, but their degree information is unspecified.
