Gary Hatcher is a Senior System Analyst with extensive experience in medical logistics and information technology. Currently serving at the Defense Health Agency since August 2011, Hatcher leads the Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) Material Management Project, providing expert advice on functional requirements and facilitating collaboration among various stakeholders within the Department of Defense. Prior to this role, Hatcher held senior analyst positions at CACI International Inc. and McAdams Technology Inc., where expertise in DOD medical material management and system design contributed to the development of DMLSS software applications. Hatcher’s career began in the U.S. Air Force, where roles included Functional Analyst and Medical Logistician, emphasizing inventory and supply chain management. Educational qualifications include IT Acquisition Level III from Defense Acquisition University and an Associate of Arts in Logistics Management from the Community College of the Air Force.

DHA carries out these operations using a global health care network of military and civilian medical professionals and more than 400 military hospitals and clinics. This network strengthens the delivery of health care to MHS beneficiaries by merging proven clinical and business practices and emphasizing the experience of the patient. Exciting changes are taking place as we are in the process of reorganizing how we manage the military’s medical centers, hospitals and clinics around the world, shifting administration and management responsibility for these facilities from the Army, Navy and Air Force to the Defense Health Agency.
