Tess Ortega has worked in a variety of roles since 2014. Tess began their career as a Document Verifier at Hissey Kientz, LLP in 2014. In 2015, they became an Instructor at Mathnasium of North Austin. The following year, they were a College Readiness Advocate at Austin Partners in Education. In 2017, they worked as an Organizing Director and Lead Organizer at Jolt Action. Since 2019, they have been a Senior Data & Technology Strategist, Lead Data & Technology Strategist, and Texas Data & Technology Strategist at The Movement Cooperative.
Tess Ortega received a Bachelor's Degree in Biology/Biological Sciences, General from The University of Texas at Austin in 2015, having begun their studies there in 2011.
