Curtis Runyan

Curtis Runyan has extensive experience in environmental journalism and publication management, currently serving as the Director of Publications and Editor-in-Chief at The Nature Conservancy since December 2005, overseeing the print and digital editions of the Nature Conservancy magazine, which has a circulation exceeding 800,000. Prior roles at The Nature Conservancy include Associate Director for Editorial and Senior Editor. Curtis has also contributed to academia as a Faculty Associate in Environmental Sciences at Penn State University and served as Writer in Residence at the National Center for Ecological Analysis and Synthesis. Earlier positions include Web Editor at The World Bank, Managing Editor at the World Resources Institute, Associate Editor at World Watch magazine, and Staff Writer for Greenwire.
