Melanie Leon is a seasoned professional in the field of admissions and education, currently serving as the Director of Admissions PreK-12 at The Nueva School since July 2022. Prior to this role, Melanie held the position of Senior Associate Director of Admission and Co-Director of Multicultural Outreach at The Thacher School from 2018 to 2022. Melanie's extensive experience in admissions began at Harvard-Westlake School between 2007 and 2018, where responsibilities included Director of Financial Aid and Assistant Director of Admission. Earlier career experience includes serving as a Middle and High School Teacher at Community Harvest Charter School from 2004 to 2007. Melanie holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from North Carolina State University.
