Grégoire Simon is currently a Junior Project Engineer at The Ocean Cleanup since May 2021, focusing on combating plastic pollution in rivers through the deployment of interceptors. Prior experience includes a role as a Design Office Intern at Plastisem, where continuous improvement in automated production and lean management practices were emphasized. While studying, Grégoire contributed to a circular economy project by creating biodegradable food containers from brewery waste at BIRECO. Additional experiences encompass work as a Computer Aided Design Assistant at Gammon Construction Limited, an intern at Decathlon Sports India, and various other roles in customer service and engineering internships. Grégoire holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from Icam - Institut Catholique d'Arts et Métiers and has also studied at several international institutions including The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and Politecnico di Milano.
