Joshua Young

Joshua Young is a seasoned security and risk analyst with extensive experience in information security and risk management, currently serving as the Lead Security & Risk Analyst at The Ohio State University since 2013. Joshua has spearheaded critical initiatives such as the Enterprise Project (Workday) implementation, ensuring compliance with various frameworks including HIPAA, NIST 800-171, GDPR, and FERPA. In addition, Joshua has led the university's transition to Amazon Web Services (AWS) and mentored security interns. Prior experience includes roles at Kent State University and Bowling Green State University, where Joshua focused on system administration, security assessments, and hardware management. Joshua holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from Bowling Green State University and a Master’s degree in Management Advancement for the Public Service from The Ohio State University.
