Kumar Vijay Garapati

Kumar Vijay Garapati, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Instruction in the Department of Operations and Business Analytics at The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business since January 2023. In addition to this role, Kumar serves as the Math and Engineering Learning Center Coordinator at The Ohio State University, providing tutoring across over 35 subjects in eight departments since August 2018. Prior experience includes faculty positions at the University of South Florida, research associate duties at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, and various roles in software engineering and development. Kumar holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics from the University of South Florida, a Master of Science in Mathematics with a Computer Science Concentration from the University of South Alabama, and a Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University. Kumar also holds a Master Diploma in Visual Communication from AAFT.
