Catherine Mallyon

Catherine Mallyon currently serves as the Chair of Birmingham Hippodrome and as Chief Operating Officer (Maternity Cover) at The Old Vic. Previously, Mallyon held the position of Executive Director at the Royal Shakespeare Company from 2012 until December 2023. Additionally, Mallyon has chaired the Steering Board for Bristol+Bath Creative R+D and served as an Advisory Council Member for The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust. Mallyon's leadership experience extends to various advisory and board roles with organizations such as the Centre for Cultural Value, Society of London Theatre & UK Theatre, Arts Council England, Arts and Humanities Research Council, and Creative UK. Mallyon earned a Bachelor's Degree in History from St John's College, University of Oxford and has foundational education from Cambridgeshire College of Arts and Technology and Impington Village College.
