Vijini Samaraweera

Vijini Samaraweera is an experienced educator with a diverse teaching background that includes roles at The Overseas School of Colombo since October 2018 as a PYP English Language Acquisition Teacher, Learning Support Assistant Teacher, and Teacher Assistant. Prior experience includes serving as an Assistant Teacher in the Junior Section at Colombo International School from June 2017 to October 2018, where responsibilities included teaching Grade 5 Mathematics and Grade 2 Humanities, as well as a Visual Art Teacher at Gateway College Sri Lanka from March 2015 to October 2016, teaching Grades 7 to 10 and serving as a Class Teacher for Grade 7. Vijini holds a PGCE in Education from the University of London (2020-2021), a Diploma in Early Childhood Education from University Preparation College Sydney (2013-2018), and an Edexcel Pearsons Level 4 and 5 Advanced Diploma in Professional Teaching from Gateway Graduate School (2014-2016).
