Richard Chute

Richard Chute is an accomplished development professional with extensive experience in fundraising and organizational leadership. Currently serving as the Chief Development Officer at The Planetary Society since August 2014, Richard leads fundraising initiatives for the largest private space advocacy organization globally. Prior roles include President of the Claremont Educational Foundation and various positions at Pomona College, including Regional Director and Associate Director of Trusts and Estates. Richard's earlier career includes leadership roles at UC Riverside Bourns College of Engineering, Pitzer College, California Botanic Garden, and the UCLA Fowler Museum of Cultural History. Richard holds a Master of Arts in Archaeology from UCLA and two Bachelor of Arts degrees in Environmental Studies from Pitzer College.
