Mao Xiong is an experienced professional in the field of social work, currently serving as an intern at CMC Mercy since August 2018 and a crisis counselor at The Relatives since November 2017. Additionally, Mao Xiong founded Dedicated Hmong Promoting Higher Education, facilitating meetings and building committees to support Hmong students. The Relatives is a system of resources that helps youth and young adults find safety, stability, and pathways to independence. Our Services: Youth Crisis Center: 24-hour facility that keeps kids safe and families together by providing respite care for runaway or homeless youth ages 7-17 for up to 21 days. On Ramp Resource Center: Empowers teens and young adults 16-24 through case management and structured support focusing on employment, education, housing, community life skills, and health and safety. Housing: Transitional living home for young men aging out of foster care and scattered site housing options for young adults experiencing homelessness.
