Helen Atkinson-Barnes

Program Director—prevention Education at The Retreat

Helen Atkinson-Barnes is an accomplished Program Director for Prevention Education at The Retreat since November 2006, where responsibility includes directing outreach education programs and delivering healthy relationships and violence prevention curricula to diverse community groups. Prior experience includes serving as a Real Estate Agent at Prudential Douglas Elliman from March 2007 to January 2011, assisting clients in real estate transactions throughout the Hamptons. Additionally, Helen worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Michigan College of Literature, Science, and the Arts from September 1991 to December 1994, developing and teaching courses in English Language and Literature and Communications. Helen holds a Master of Arts in English Language and Literature and Women's Studies from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor's degree from Princeton University.
