Hörður Kristbjörnsson has an extensive work experience in the creative and art direction field. Hörður is currently working as a Senior Designer at Gangverk since 2021. In 2010, they founded and served as the Owner, Co-Founder, and CEO of Live Project, where they were responsible for the development of concepts, website interface art direction, design and marketing design for online and traditional media, and broadcasting decision making and event collaboration.
In 2003, Hörður co-founded The Reykjavík Grapevine and held the positions of Art Director and Creative Director. Hörður also worked at Döðlur as a Partner and Creative Director from 2012 to 2021. Hörður has previously served as an Art Director at Jónsson & Le'Macks from 2009 to 2012 and at Íslenska / BBDO from 2005 to 2008.
Additionally, they have contributed their expertise in art direction to the Reykjavík Fashion Festival from 2009 to 2011 and the Reykjavík International Film Festival from 2006 to 2009.
Hörður Kristbjörnsson obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design from Listaháskóli Íslands, where they studied from 2002 to 2005.
