Gerben Dijkstra

Mr. Dijkstra is a Managing Director and member of the Africa Private Markets investment team. He is based in Cape Town, South Africa.

Before joining TRG in April 2023, Mr. Dijkstra was a Partner within Ethos, which was acquired by TRG in April 2023.

Mr. Dijkstra joined Ninety-One in 2008 and transitioned to Ethos in 2020 when Ethos took over the management of the Ninety-One funds and portfolio. Mr. Dijkstra has differentiated experience in the full private equity value chain across the African continent. Mr. Dijkstra has been responsible for investments and realizations in, inter alia, financial services, education, telecommunication and transport & logistics. He currently holds board positions in Richfield, J&J Transport and is responsible for the funds investment in IHS Towers. Before joining Ninety-One, he was a senior Private Equity investment professional at FMO, the Dutch development bank, in The Hague for 8 years.

Mr. Dijkstra holds a Master of Science degree in Economics from the University of Amsterdam and is fluent in French and Dutch.
