Mark Foard

Mark Foard is an accomplished educator with extensive experience in various educational roles. Currently serving as the Head of Middle School at Ross School since July 2022, Foard previously held the position of Dean of Student Activities and Educator at BASIS International Schools from July 2018 to June 2022. Foard's earlier tenure at Ross School, spanning two decades from 1998 to July 2018, included roles such as Dean of World Languages and Literature, Director of Curriculum and Professional Development, and Ninth Grade English Teacher. Foard began the educational career as an ESL Program Tutor at Baruch College High School from 1997 to 1998 and as an English Teacher at Patrick Henry High School from 1993 to 1997. Foard holds an M.A. in English Education from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a B.A. in English, Secondary Education and Administration from James Madison University.
