Cultural History Teacher at Ross School

Brynne earned her undergraduate degrees in Education grades K–8 and English Literature from the University of Delaware, and is currently writing a graduate thesis for the University of Oxford, UK, in emotional literacy. She spent time early in her career traveling the world to collect best practices in teaching and pedagogy, closely studying schools in Italy, Costa Rica, Saipan, and Indonesia. She spent several years developing cultural studies curricula that can be delivered using a global lens, with supporting literature that is both significant and diverse. In addition to standard Language Arts and Social Sciences courses in the middle grades, Brynne enjoys teaching specialized electives such as Gods and Monsters, Post 9/11 Literature, and World Peace Games. She is passionate about expedition and outdoor learning, sustainability, equity in education, and "Safe Space" initiatives.
