Tonatiuh Abrego

Tonatiuh Abrego is an experienced musician and educator based in Toronto, Ontario, currently serving as a Candidate Services Representative at The Royal Conservatory of Music since July 2018. Abrego has been a tenor with the Canadian Opera Company since September 2016 and a touring artist with Jeunesses Musicales du Canada since October 2015, where notable performances include lead roles in 'Romeo and Juliet.' As a self-employed professional musician and teacher since September 2014, Abrego offers lessons in voice, piano, and music theory while preparing for a range of theatrical and concert performances. Previous roles include a Piano Department Associate at Remenyi House of Music and an Emerging Artist with Calgary Opera. Abrego holds a Master's degree in Voice and Opera from McGill University and has prior experience as a lifeguard and swimming instructor in Ottawa.
