Mike Bankert is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in nonprofit financial management. Currently serving as the Controller at The San Francisco Foundation since September 2018, Mike previously held the position of Director of Finance at Quantum Leap Health Care Collaborative, overseeing financial operations during a significant research initiative. Prior to that, Mike served as VP of Finance & Administration at the California State Parks Foundation, contributing to a 200% revenue growth over 18 years. Mike's career began at the Baltimore Community Foundation as the Director of Finance and Administration, where significant organizational growth was achieved. Additionally, Mike's foundational experience includes serving as a Senior Auditor at Deloitte and Touche, LLP. Mike holds a Master’s Degree in Nonprofit Administration from the University of San Francisco and a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance from Towson University.
