Anna Dominiczak DBE, MD, FRCP, FAHA, FRSE, FAMSci is a distinguished medical professional currently serving as Chief Scientist (Health) for The Scottish Government since July 2022. With a long-standing affiliation with the University of Glasgow since September 1989, Anna holds the position of Regius Professor of Medicine and has previously served as Vice Principal and Head of College, as well as British Heart Foundation Professor of Cardiovascular Medicine. From April 2019 to July 2022, Anna contributed to the Medical Research Council as a Health Innovation Champion, and served as a Non Executive Board Member for NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde from January 2012 to July 2022. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Glasgow and a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from the Medical University in Gdansk, Poland.
