Jim McNellis

Jim McNellis is an experienced professional in systems and process management, currently serving as Systems and Process Lead at The Scottish Government since May 2021, focusing on counterfraud and error management, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement. Previously, Jim held positions such as Finance Systems Manager at Northern Marine Group and Head of Business Systems/Data Protection Officer at Loganair Limited, where expertise in IT strategy, business analysis, and data protection was demonstrated. Additional roles include extensive experience in financial systems and process design at Shell and JPMorgan Chase, as well as entrepreneurial experience as the owner of itinerist. An academic background includes a BA in Business Economics from the University of the West of Scotland and a Professional Accountancy Qualification from Glasgow Caledonian University.
