John Casey

John Casey is a highly experienced medical professional specializing in transplantation and surgery. Currently serving as a Consultant Surgeon at the University of Edinburgh, John Casey also holds the position of Clinical Director for Transplantation at the Edinburgh Transplant Centre/NHS Lothian since April 2022. John Casey has been an influential figure in the Scottish Government as Lead Clinician and Government Specialist Advisor for Organ Transplantation in Scotland and co-chair of the Scottish Donation and Transplant Group since 2016. Additionally, John Casey has contributed to NHS Lothian as Director of the Scottish National Islet Transplant Service and Consultant Transplant and General Surgeon since February 2003.
