Matt Grady serves as the Head of the Climate Engagement and Adaptation Policy Unit within the Domestic Climate Change Division of the Scottish Government since January 2019, contributing to the Scottish National Adaptation Plan and the Public Engagement Strategy for Climate Change. Prior roles include leading the Climate Behaviours and Engagement Unit and the Border Surveillance and Port Health Unit focused on Covid-19 policy development. Grady's previous experience encompasses senior advisory positions in international trade and advocacy, including roles at Traidcraft, the Trade Justice Movement, and STOPAIDS, where expertise in policy analysis and advocacy for human rights in health and development was demonstrated. Early career contributions include program management at Christian Aid and administrative roles at Ayrshire Itec, complemented by a music career as a touring musician. Grady is currently pursuing postgraduate studies in Systems Thinking related to Climate Change at the University of Glasgow.
