Penny Wright LLM, AMIRMS, is an experienced Information Governance Manager currently working with The Scottish Government since January 2022. Previously, Penny served as a Data Protection Support Officer at Historic Environment Scotland from November 2017 to January 2022 and contributed to digital preservation guidance at National Records of Scotland from August 2016 to November 2017. Additional roles include part-time positions as a Copyright Evidence Researcher at CREATe and Editor at SCRIPTed, an online journal focused on law, technology, and society. Prior to these roles, Penny managed various programming and content strategies at ABC TV from 2006 to 2015, overseeing initiatives related to intellectual property rights and marketing. Penny holds a Master of Laws (LLM) in Innovation, Technology and the Law from the University of Edinburgh Law School, a Post Graduate Certificate in Journalism from the University of Technology Sydney, and a BA Hons in Social Anthropology from the University of Sussex.
