Alice Kaderlan

Alice Kaderlan is a seasoned critic and arts writer at the Seattle Post-Intelligencer since February 1997 and serves as the President of The Kaderlan Co. since January 1988, focusing on consulting and writing. Kaderlan has contributed as a freelance writer and features reporter for The Seattle Times since January 1980, and previously reported and critiqued for Crosscut from September 2010 to January 2014. Additional experience includes serving as a commentator for KUOW Public Radio from 2008 to June 2012, and as Senior VP of Marketing and Communications at the YMCA of Greater Seattle from 2007 to 2010. Kaderlan held the position of Director of Strategic Projects at Pyramid Communications from January 2004 to July 2007 and was Director of Communications and Donor Relations at the University of Washington from June 2001 to September 2004. Educational background includes an M.A. program in French/Education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a B.A. in English from The George Washington University, along with studies at L'université Laval and Université de Paris (Sorbonne).
