Matthew DeFranks

Matthew DeFranks is a sports reporter currently covering the St. Louis Blues for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch since January 2023. Prior to this role, Matthew spent over four years at The Dallas Morning News covering the Dallas Stars and worked at Sun-Sentinel focusing on the Florida Panthers, Miami Marlins, and FAU sports. Matthew's extensive experience also includes freelance work and reporting for outlets such as 810 AM WHB, FOX Sports Kansas City, MLB.com, and Lacrosse Magazine. A graduate of the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor's in Business Administration, Finance, Matthew has a strong background in sports reporting, including notable assignments in college athletics and various professional sports.
