Chris Klaassen

Chris Klaassen currently serves as the General Manager of Compliance at The Star Entertainment Group, a position held since December 2023. Prior to this, Chris was with Westpac from February 2019 to December 2023 as the Head of Compliance for the Deposits and Unsecured Lending division. Chris's previous experience includes serving as the Head of Business Unit Control at Citi and a Division Director for Risk & Compliance at Macquarie Bank. Chris also held the role of Compliance Manager at Citigroup Australia, contributing expertise in operational risk management, compliance frameworks, and business process enhancements throughout a diverse banking career. Chris holds a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance & Investments from the Securities Institute of Australia.
