Sabrina Lamar

Sabrina Lamar serves as the Administrative Coordinator at The Center for Advanced Hindsight at Duke University, a position held since May 2018, where responsibilities include supporting lab operations and event planning. Previously, as an Administrative Assistant at PORCH-Durham from August 2016 to April 2018, Sabrina provided administrative support to mitigate hunger among local school children and families, particularly managing communications. An earlier role as Event Coordinator at Duke University's Office of Durham and Regional Affairs involved organizing the Annual "School Days" event to inspire first-generation college students. Sabrina's experience also includes serving as a Research Consultant at The Ohio State University, working on a NIOSH-funded project, and positions at Duke University as an Ergonomics Specialist and Physical Therapist. Sabrina holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering from North Carolina State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Illinois Chicago.

The Startup Lab aims to smartly accelerate the development of early stage companies in the health and finance fields through integrating behavioral economics principles and experimentation methods into their business models and products.Startups participating in our 3-9 month program will learn to leverage academic research to test, build, andscale their products and understand their users’ decision-making processes so as to design products that powerfully impact the way their consumers form habits, make decisions, and interact with digital tools.
