Senior Vice Chancellor For Research, Innovation And Economic Development at The State University of New York

Shadi Shahedipour-Sandvik currently serves as the Senior Vice Chancellor for Research, Innovation and Economic Development and the Provost-in-Charge at The State University of New York since January 2021. As of September 2023, Shadi holds the title of Professor at the University at Albany-State University of New York. Previously, Shadi was the Editor in Chief at the Journal of Electronic Materials from June 2014 to December 2023 and held various academic and administrative positions at SUNY Polytechnic Institute, including Professor, Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies, Dean of the Office of Graduate Studies, and Head of the NanoEngineering Constellation from March 2015 to September 2023. Additionally, Shadi served as the Research Foundation Operations Manager for The Research Foundation for SUNY from May 2020 to December 2020 and was a Professor at the University at Albany from March 2003 to 2015. Earlier experience includes research associate roles at Northwestern University from February 1998 to August 2001.
