Annie McFate is an experienced education professional with a strong background in child and adolescent development. Currently serving as the Director of Education Services at The Surplus Line Association of California since February 2017, Annie has held multiple roles including Training Content Manager and Education and Compliance Specialist. Previously, Annie worked as a Behavioral Interventionist at Inspire Behavioral Services and held positions as a Front Office Coordinator at The Healdsburg School and a Teacher at both Diablo Hills Country School and The Meher Schools. Annie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Child and Adolescent Development from San Francisco State University.
The Surplus Line Association of California
The Surplus Line Association of California serves as the statutory surplus line advisory organization to the California Department of Insurance (CDI) and facilitates the state’s capacity to monitor and direct surplus line brokers’ placements of insurance with eligible surplus line insurers. Working with its members and the CDI, the Association assists its members’ compliance with California laws and regulations; helps maintain a healthy, fair, and competitive surplus line marketplace in California; and strives to protect the interests of California insurance consumers.
