Mark Schaay currently serves as the Executive General Manager at Northland Properties since January 2023 and has held the position of General Manager at The Sutton Place Hotels since February 2020. Previously, Schaay worked as General Manager for Germain Hôtels from September 2009 to February 2020, where responsibilities included overseeing the openings of Alt Hotel St. John's and Alt Hotel Halifax Airport, and served as Rooms Division Manager for the opening of Hotel Le Germain Calgary. Schaay's career began at Sheraton Suites Calgary Eau Claire, where various roles were held over seven years, culminating in the position of Front Office Manager. Mark Schaay holds a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT).
