Daniel Thomasson

Daniel Thomasson serves as a Member of the Loviisa City Council and Co-chairman of both the Building and Environment Committee and the Swedish Educational Subcommittee since August 2021. Additionally, Daniel has been a Principal Service Engineer at The Timken Company since April 2012, focusing on service engineering in Scandinavia, after a progression from Senior Service Engineer. Previous roles include Plant Engineer at Terramare, where responsibilities included planning dockings for dredging vessels, Technical Support for the Port of Genoa dredging project with Boskalis Italia, and several teaching positions in mathematics and physics in the City of Loviisa. Daniel's extensive engineering background includes mechanical design and robotics at Oy TC-Plan Ab, where involvement included designing production machinery, as well as serving as a Technical Advisor at Milfoam Oy. Daniel holds a Bachelor of Science in Machine Automation from Arcada University of Applied Sciences along with several vocational qualifications.
