Alden Garrett

Advisor, Northwest at The Trust for Public Land

Alden Garrett, Seattle, Washington, practices family law and is a long-time leader in Washington State's philanthropic community. Her family first settled in Washington in the 1880s, and is still active in the timber company they established in 1886. Alden is a graduate of Brown University and the University of Puget Sound School of Law (now Seattle University). She has served on several Bar Association committees, including chairing the Family Law section, and on a number of boards including The Bush School, The Seattle Children's Home, Facing the Future (a global/environmental issues curriculum program), KUOW, Family Law CASA, and the Crystal Mountain Alpine Club. She is married to Charles Eriksen, (Professor of Oceanography at the University of Washington) and has one adult child, Lily.
