Steven Chazanow

Steven Chazanow has extensive experience in education, graphic design, and union support roles. Currently serving at the United Federation of Teachers since September 2021, Steven's responsibilities include interviewing stakeholders and managing the Retired Para Support Team while fostering positive relationships within the organization. Prior to this, Steven offered counseling and health benefits advocacy to union members. With a background as a Visual Arts Educator in multiple institutions, including the NYC Department of Education, alongside roles in arts administration at various organizations, Steven has developed and implemented diverse curricula and programs. Academic qualifications include a Master’s degree in Arts Education from Brooklyn College and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Advertising and Graphic Design from the School of Visual Arts.
