Senior Lecturer In Emerging Media, Department Of Journalism And Creative Media at The University of Alabama

Chip Brantley is a co-host and writer/producer of the NPR podcast White Lies, recognized as a finalist for the 2020 Pulitzer Prize in Audio Reporting. Brantley serves as a Senior Lecturer in Emerging Media at the University of Alabama and is the founder of Desert Island Supply Co., an organization focused on helping Birmingham-area students cultivate creative skills. Previously, Brantley co-founded Cookthink, a food and cooking website, and worked as an editorial producer for Kick Media. Brantley's early career includes roles as a story editor and director of TV development at Dogstar Films. Brantley holds a BA in Philosophy and French from Vanderbilt University and an MFA in Nonfiction from The Johns Hopkins University.
