Yang Xiao is a Professor at The University of Alabama, a position held since July 2006. Prior to this academic role, Yang Xiao worked as a MAC Architecture Engineer at Microlinear Co. from August 2000 to August 2002. Yang Xiao earned a PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from Wright State University between 1995 and 2000. Earlier academic achievements include a Master of Science in Computational Mathematics and Applied Software with a concentration in computer graphics, obtained from Jilin University from 1988 to 1991, and a Bachelor of Science in the same field from Jilin University from 1985 to 1988.
