David Hahn serves as the Craig M. Berge Dean of Engineering and Professor of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering at the University of Arizona since July 2019. Previously, David held the position of Professor and Department Chair of the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department at the University of Florida from August 1998 to June 2019. David was a member of the Board of Directors at DEFENSEWERX from 2011 until February 2022. Earlier in David's career, experience included roles as a Member of Technical Staff and Post-Doctoral Associate at Sandia National Laboratories (1994-1998) and as an NRC Post-Doctoral Associate in the FDA CDRH Electro-Optics Branch (1993-1994), focusing on laser-tissue interactions. David Hahn obtained a BSME and PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Louisiana State University between 1982 and 1992.
